Love is at the heart of everything we do at Lightfarm. Wherever we are in the world, and whichever language we speak, we all share a bond of love and family. We partnered with The Walt Disney Company to celebrate Pride Month and created four animated shorts from real stories of the LGBTQIA+ community.

Everyone deserves to feel valued, respected and seen for who they are. Hoping to inspire more people to feel this way, Mariano Frigerio, Salvador Orduña, Pedro Henrique and Roberta Prazeres, employees from The Walt Disney Company Latin America, shared their real biographies with us. With this, we made animations for each one of them!

With a tight schedule, a project as big as this one can be challenging but so worth it! We never forgot the aim of it all: telling four different stories of minorities, their lives as LGBTQIA+ and how this impacted them in many different ways along their way.

“It was amazing being a part of this project. I speak for myself as I am part of the LGBTQIA+ community: in the same way that the first story touched me and made me emotional every time I sent a new preview for the client, I am sure that the other stories caused an impact as big, if not bigger, on everyone who watched it. The team asked for the creative opinion of members of the team that are LGBTQIA+, but not necessarily involved in the execution – which was gratifying and moving.” – says the Producer responsible for the project, Naire Cardoso.

An incredible team of artists was chosen to imagine, create and premiere these animations. The animation used 2D and 3D to run smoothly and portray places that lived only in imagination, onto an actual digital piece. We also had the final shot of the real-life person that told the story, made entirely by us in the studio! It was huge being a part of this! We thank everyone involved for this opportunity!
