K’Sante New Skin by Lil Nas X

Always go all out. In this project, we collaborated with Riot Games and League of Legends to bring to life K'Sante's unique in-game skin, designed in collaboration with Lil Nas X. K'Sante is the first black LGBTQIA+ character from League of Legends. He is arriving at the game with many skin options, including the one we collaborated to produce: the Prestige Empyrean Skin!

Lil Nas X and League of Legends started a partnership in 2022, and when we got our hands in this job, we recruited over 50 artists to work on the launch of the Prestige Skin, specially designed for K'Sante. To make this idea a reality, we constructed the 3D Model of the armor using Blender and adapted it, as needed, to look stunning in the final film.

For the video announcement, we chose to design the scenarios abstractly. We specifically did this so that the attention of the public watching the film was on all the small details highlighted on the character's clothes. The butterfly and armor effects were created in Simulation using Houdini. We also used the Sapphire and 3D Element plugins to complete this project, which received positive feedback from fans worldwide.
